Deilmann_black_2 Peter Deilmann Cruises announces free air, free shore excursions on 20 ocean sailings in 2007. Cruises are to South America, Canary Islands, Mediterranean, Baltic/Russia, Norwegian Fjords, Europe, India, Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong
Peter Deilmann Cruises is once again enticing Americans to sail its European ocean liner, the five-star MS Deutschland, with free air and free shore excursions on 20 sailings in 2007. The cruises, six to 20 nights in length, sail to South America, the Canary Islands, the Mediterranean, Baltic Sea and Russia, Norwegian Fjords, British Isles, Europe, India, Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong.

The gala onboard music cruise, April 21-May 4, 2007, which will sail to four countries in the western Mediterranean, will also offer free air.

Deilmann is offering free air transportation on the 20 cruises from 17 U.S. gateways and low air supplements from an additional 34 cities in the Midwest and West. The sailings also provide free shore excursions, valued up to $600 per person, and free airport-ship transfers. The free air offer is available from 17 cities ranging from New York to Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, Atlanta, Miami, Pittsburgh and 10 others in the East.

The low air supplements are $110 for Zone 2 cities that include Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Memphis, Minneapolis and 15 others in central states and $150 from Zone 3 cities - Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Seattle, Portland, Honolulu and nine other western gateways.
The free airport-ship transfers are included in any air arranged by Deilmann Cruises. For those who prefer to arrange their own flights, Deilmann will deduct an additional $750 per person from cruise rates.

In 2007, the 286-cabin Deutschland will have an expanded program of golf, garden and equestrian theme cruises along with the 13-night April Music Gala that will sail from Venice to Bordeaux. The cruise line is also introducing Wellness theme voyages in 2007 on four sailings and active shore excursions on other sailings that feature hiking, river rafting, ballooning and zodiac sailings in Greenland, Iceland, Norway and Spitzbergen.

The first two cruises in 2007 are to South America. The Jan. 25-Feb. 14 sailing explores the Chilean Fjords, Punta Arenas, Ushuaia, Cape Horn Passage, the Falkland Islands and Buenos Aires. The Feb. 14-March 5 voyage sails from Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro at Carnival time and colonial Salvador, then crosses the South Atlantic to the Cape Verde Islands and Santa Cruz, Tenerife, in the Canary Islands.

The five-star Deutschland will sail three cruises around the Canary Islands and to the Portuguese Island of Madeira in March. The Azores, Casablanca and Agadir (Morocco) are destinations together with six islands in the Canaries: Santa Cruz (Tenerife), Las Palmas (Grand Canary), Puerto de la Estaca (El Hierro), San Sebastian (Gomera), Santa Cruz (La Palma) and Arrecife (Lanzarote).

In April, three Western Mediterranean and Atlantic cruises will call at ports in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Monaco and France. The 13-night music cruise, April 21-May 5, will visit Italy, Spain, Portugal and France. Destinations on a two-week cruise from Funchal (Madeira) include the Spanish cities of Seville, Marbella, Alicante and Valencia along with La Goulette (Tunisia) and Tripoli (Libya).

Other April voyages feature the Italian destinations of Rome, Ischia and Capri and the Adriatic cities of Kotor and Dubrovnik, Korula and Zadar in Croatia, while the music cruise from Venice visits Sicily, Ibiza, Cadiz and La Coruña (Spain), Lisbon and Bordeaux.

The Baltic countries, Russia, Norwegian Fjords, Greenland, Iceland, England, Scotland and Ireland are highlights of other spring and summer voyages. Ports of call on the Baltic in May are Gothenburg, Stockholm, Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Gdansk and Stettin (Poland). A June sailing around Norway calls at Bergen, the fjords of Geiranger, Alesund and Eidfjord. Two Baltic/Russia cruises in June visit Stockholm, Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Tallin, Riga and Copenhagen.

A 19-night voyage in July to Spitzbergen and the Norwegian Fjords, also sails to Greenland, Iceland, the Canadian islands of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and calls at ports in Scotland, Denmark and Ireland. A second 23-night sailing visits these countries in August. There are two British Isles sailings in August and September - one to Scotland and Ireland and the other to Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Isle of Man (Scotland) and Liverpool, Milford Haven, Falmouth and London (England).

A nine-night cruise departing from Lisbon, Oct 1, calls at Portimao in Portugal's north and then sails to the Balearic Islands of Ibiza and Menorca, Barcelona and Monte Carlo. A one-week sailing roundtrip from Monte Carlo visits Florence, Rome, Naples, the Amalfi Coast and the French island of Corsica.

Eastern Mediterranean destinations are the focus of a 12-night sailing from Monte Carlo, Nov. 9, to Heraklion (Cyprus), Tripoli (Libya), Cairo and Aqaba (Jordan). A two-week voyage sails from Dubai, Dec. 4, to India, Colombo and Phuket, Thailand. The final cruise of the year, 20 nights, departs Dec. 17 from Phuket to Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

The ship's beautifully appointed staterooms provide ample storage space, color TV, min-bars, bathrobes and slippers; bathrooms offer quality Molton Brown toiletries and hairdryers. Outdoor and indoor swimming pools, three sun decks, open-air promenade deck, intimate theater for film screenings and lectures, fitness center, sauna, Turkish bath, opulent two-level ballroom with dancing and international revues, shopping boutique, beauty salon and infirmary are among the features of the ship.

The recently expanded Wellness Spa offers Thalasso Therapy, Cleopatra Bath, a wide range of massage therapy and other health and beauty treatments. The fitness programs include daily classes in Pilates, Nordic walking and aqua jogging as well as fitness consulting sessions.

Cabin prices with free air and free shore excursions start at $3,140 per person for a twin-bedded cabin for a six-night sailing in the Canary Islands. Single cabin rates start at $3,437.
